Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and BLS/ACLS certification for a community hospital cardiac cath lab.
Details- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with electrophysiology (EP) lab support
- Adult patient population, including potential exposure to COVID-19 patients
- Performs diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion/removal, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, EP studies, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
- Uses fluoroscopy, Philips equipment, and PACS system
- Requires proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and vascular studies including thrombolysis/thrombectomy and upper/lower extremity angiography
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Weekend call rotation and overnight call as needed
- Holiday coverage as needed
- No floating required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab setting
- BLS and ACLS certification required; CCI RCIS certification preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Proficient in procedural responsibilities including equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
- License required if applicable
- Responsibilities include accurate hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, equipment maintenance, and supply stocking
- Adheres to strict infection control and sterile technique standards
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on clinical fit
- Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a reduced pay rate
