Job Description: Overview: Abacus Technology is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support modeling and simulation activities for a key program at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain computational models and simulations to support system design, analysis, and testing.
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to define simulation requirements and parameters.
- Perform simulation runs and analyze results to identify system performance issues and recommend improvements.
- Document simulation methodologies, assumptions, and results.
- Support integration of simulation results into system-level analysis and decision-making processes.
- Stay current with advancements in modeling and simulation tools and techniques.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in modeling and simulation, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proven experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of system engineering principles and model-based design methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Active DoD security clearance required.
- Knowledge of system performance analysis and trade-off studies.
- Experience working in a contract environment with government customers.
