Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: June 1, 2026Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Day shifts, 10-hour shifts (06:30 - 17:00), Monday through Friday with rotating day off. Call required 1-2 shifts per 6-week period. Two weekend shifts per contract.
Highlights:
- 91-day travel assignment at a Trauma Level I facility
- 14 operating rooms with a daily census of 45 patients
- Patient ratios of 1:1 for optimal care delivery
- Minimal call requirements—only 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks
- Epic charting system in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
- Exposure to diverse surgical specialties including orthopedic, general, neuro, vascular, and urologic procedures
Requirements:
- Current Texas RN license or compact state license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Required experience in orthopedic, general, neuro, vascular, and urologic surgery
- Preferred experience with DaVinci robots, endovascular procedures, and ophthalmic surgery
- Must maintain 1:1 patient ratio experience
- Geographic restriction: Cannot reside in specified local counties
