Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse in Cleveland, OH (44195). Requires 18+ months stepdown experience and active Ohio or Compact RN license.
Job Details- Location: Cleveland, Ohio (44195) — Cleveland, OH travel nursing opportunity
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: May 27, 2026
- Shifts: Rotating Day/Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00am-7:30pm / 7:00pm-7:30am)
- Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Setting: J5-1 CARDIOVAS SURG STPDW (HVTI-Stepdown Unit: cardiac telemetry / step-down / post-surgical cardiac care) with potential to float to similar units
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Cardiac Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, or Stepdown RN experience required
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State License in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be active, not pending)
- One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty required
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to work at least every other holiday during the assignment
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit (telemetry, post-op cardiac, and high-acuity medical cardiac patients)
- Monitor and assess cardiac and post-surgical patients, interpret telemetry/ECG rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Provide critical care support for cardiac procedures and post-intervention monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, case management, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to similar units (J1-2, J33, ED) as needed to support patient care and staffing flexibility
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
- Participate in ongoing education, complete required orientation modules, and maintain competency assessments
