Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II
Job Details:
- Full-time weekday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with one variable weekday off per week
- On-call requirements include 1 weekend per month (5:00 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM next day)
- No weekend commitment outside of on-call responsibilities
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab required
- Must be able to scrub for all types of heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
- Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system preferred
- Preferably RCIS or RCES licensure, ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab performing heart caths with intervention
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must demonstrate understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology
- Ability to recognize ECG waveform morphology, wave patterns and their significance, including lethal arrhythmias
- Must understand cardiac medications including generic and trade names, pharmacokinetics actions, and proper documentation
- Ability to monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and percutaneous interventions
- Knowledge of coronary anatomy in cine angiographic projections and cardiac pressure waveforms
- Ability to perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations and ACT measurements
- Understanding of electrophysiologic testing, permanent pacemaker implant, and therapeutic ablation procedures
- Must be able to work in sterile environment for extended periods and wear lead aprons up to 5 lbs
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited program in Allied Health Sciences required
