Human Resources Specialist
Overview:
FWI is building a team to deliver professional and administrative support services for the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) in Washington, DC. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will provide expert classification and HR advisory services to CSOSA leadership — creating and classifying position descriptions, conducting desk audits, advising on organizational design, supporting SES position development, and providing consultations on staffing and benefits, all while ensuring HR practices align with OPM guidelines and federal regulations.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and classify position descriptions for a variety of positions at varying GS grade levels in accordance with OPM guidelines
- Perform desk audits for a variety of positions at varying GS grade levels
- Advise managers on how to design positions for a complex organization
- Develop and communicate internal classification policies and procedures
- Develop position descriptions for SES positions meeting both SES functional criteria and exceeding GS-15 grade level criteria
- Provide sensitivity level designations, FLSA coverage determinations, and law enforcement retirement coverage determinations
- Provide consultations and opinions on organizational proposals including optimal structure and utilization of personnel
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of federal HR experience performing classification tasks (position descriptions, desk audits, OPM standards)
- Experience with 5 CFR 1400, Designation of National Security Positions, 5 CFR 731, Suitability, and OPM guidelines
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
