• Approximately 07:15 – 15:45
• 40 hours per week

Job Duration: 13 Weeks (through end of school term)

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse (Registered Nurse - RN) to provide one-on-one care for a student in a post-secondary educational program. This role involves supporting a nonverbal student throughout the school day, including transportation and community-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student throughout the school day
• Accompany the student during transportation (bus rides to and from school)
• Support the student during community-based activities and outings
• Monitor health status and respond to medical needs as required
• Collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and support teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Required Experience & Skills:

• Experience working with special needs or nonverbal patients preferred
• Strong patient care and observation skills
• Ability to work independently in a school and community setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan (required)
• School or Department of Education certification (if applicable)
• BLS certification preferred
