Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing care in pediatric critical care settings with a focus on night shifts. The selected candidate will work every other weekend, with orientation scheduled every Monday, and will be expected to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Prior travel experience and recent acute care pediatric critical care experience are required.
Job Details:
- Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours, starting 09/07/2026
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, PALS, NRP (for NICU assignments), and IL RRT license (manager is willing to facilitate IL license application at the time of offer). Minimum of 2+ years of Pediatric Critical Care (PICU/NICU/CCU) experience required, with recent acute care pediatric RRT experience within the current year. Must be able to work in NICU, PICU, and either CCU or acute care floors. Travel experience is required. Flu and Covid vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers must be submitted.
- Additional Information:
- Local rate is less than 50 miles from the facility with a $10 deduction.
- No IVS, straight to manager.
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color, including kid-friendly options.
- Ratio based on points system.
- EMR system used is EPIC.
- Travelers will work every other weekend.
- Orientation scheduled every Monday.
