Job Description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Execute intricate engineering assignments focusing on product development and process optimization
  • Oversee technology integration initiatives, including schedule management, budget control, and documentation of design history
  • Observe surgical procedures, engage with medical professionals, and study clinical literature to enhance medical expertise, assist sales personnel, and collect feedback on product concepts
  • Utilize CAE software for engineering tasks such as prototype creation, testing methodology development, and production support tools
  • Identify, assess, and coordinate the acquisition of novel materials and components from vendors
  • Research and implement new equipment, ensuring proper installation and qualification
  • Create and implement protocols and reports for design and process validation
  • Examine test results using statistical methods and compile reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance criteria
  • Spearhead or support project planning activities, including timeline creation, resource allocation, and task completion verification
  • Scrutinize, evaluate, and propose cost-saving measures through modifications in products, suppliers, and designs

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have MOST of what follows:

  • Holds a four-year undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field from a recognized higher education institution
  • Possesses at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in using SolidWorks, project management tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledgeable about statistical analysis techniques and associated software
  • Exhibits excellent people skills
  • Demonstrates effective communication and efficient time management capabilities
  • Shows proficiency in both verbal and written forms of communication
  • Capable of working autonomously
  • Willing to travel for up to 15% of work time as needed
