Location: New York, NY 10037
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day)

Department: Behavioral Health (CPEP / Inpatient / Outpatient)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational support within a Behavioral Health department. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality, improving staff performance, and ensuring efficient operations across CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement initiatives to improve patient care quality and staff performance
  • Monitor nursing unit performance and collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with clinical standards
  • Identify performance gaps and support corrective action planning
  • Oversee nursing operations across CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health units
  • Maintain systems for tracking medication errors, incidents, and staff-related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards
  • Support staffing coordination, workflow optimization, and operational planning
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and supportive patient care environment
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required)
  • Strong experience in Behavioral Health nursing (preferred)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and clinical units effectively
  • Experience with performance improvement and quality assurance processes
  • Strong understanding of patient safety standards and regulatory compliance
