Position Summary

TCG Labs-Soleil is seeking an experienced and motivated scientist with a passion for developing therapeutics to join our Protein Sciences team and implement efficient cloning and expression capabilities in support of a highly productive therapeutic biologics Research team.

The successful candidate will have extensive skills in molecular biology and experience in expression and purification of recombinant proteins using both transient and stable systems. As part of an interdisciplinary research team, the selected individual will be a key contributor to the progression of an exciting and diverse therapeutic pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Perform molecular biology techniques including high throughput PCR and molecular cloning, and from small to large scale plasmid DNA purification.
  • Design and generate recombinant antigen protein expression plasmid for bacterial and mammalian expression systems.
  • HTP transient expression of antibodies in mammalian cell lines on automated platform.
  • Develop and generate antibody stable expression in CHO and 293.
  • Accurately and consistently record experimental methods, materials, and results.
  • Provide regular progress updates and present data at internal team meetings and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
  • M.S. in Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry or other relevant discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or B.S. with equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about automation and new technology.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with prime design and PCR.
  • Experienced with various molecular cloning methods such as seamless and GoldenGate cloning is required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with transient mammalian expression (HEK293 and CHO) is required.
  • Hands-on experience with automation using liquid handler is highly desired.
  • Experience with recombinant protein expression in bacterial and/or other expression system is highly desired, especially good understanding on solubility enhancing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with stable mammalian expression (HEK293 and CHO) is desired.
  • Hands-on experience of mono- and bi-specific antibodies, Fab fragments, scFv, VHH, and various antibody-fusion formats is desired.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced work environment.

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $98,000 - $171,875 annually (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
