Director of Behavioral Health (RN) - Fort Walton Beach, FL - Direct Hire/ Full-Time

Pay Rate: $110,000 - $130,000/year

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health for a direct-hire leadership opportunity in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

• Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered behavioral health care.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and licensing standards.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and effective care coordination.
• Oversee daily operations of a 48-bed Behavioral Health Unit.
• Manage patient throughput, admission/discharge planning, and census management.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and workforce utilization.
• Monitor department productivity, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop behavioral health staff.
• Recruit, engage, and retain high-performing behavioral health professionals.
• Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and financial management activities.
• Monitor departmental revenue, expenses, and labor utilization.
• Drive initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and patient experience.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve services and support program growth.

• Active Registered Nurse License.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of recent Acute Care Inpatient Behavioral Health Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager experience.
• BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire).
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Strong leadership, operational management, and team development experience.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Fingerprint Clearance Required.

• Previous Director-level Behavioral Health leadership experience.
• Strong background in inpatient psychiatric operations.
• Experience with budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives.
