Audio Editor (Entry Level)
New Wave Entertainment is looking for an entry level Audio Editor to work in our Burbank facility. Candidates will be experienced in meeting deadlines and dealing with a high-pressure environment, typical of television marketing. This position works closely with onsite producers and has direct interaction with our clients so client skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Import OMF and AAF files. Edit audio and prep projects for staff mixers
- Digitize audio and video elements
- Label and catalog finishing sources
- Assist mixers as needed with QC, digital delivery and recording stems
Requirements:
- Knowledge of a professional digital audio workstation such as: Resolve/Fairlight or Pro Tools required and must be willing to learn
- Knowledge of various audio plug-ins
- MAC and PC operating systems a must
- Candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work closely with producers and operations management
- This position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts (days, nights or swing shift)
- Sound engineering school degree preferred or direct relevant work experience
- Local candidates preferred
Work Location: This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to work from our Burbank office during scheduled work hours.
Work Hours: 6 PM - 2 AM
