Title: SAP Business Data Cloud Specialist Location: NRG Energy Inc. HQ - 910 Louisiana St Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 1x a week (Wednesday) Number of openings: 1 Duration: 6+ month Start date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-time | W2 PROFILES ONLY Mission: The ideal candidate will play a key role in integrating SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC with SAP Datasphere/(SAP BDC future state), designing data models, and delivering advanced planning and analytics through SAP Analytics Cloud.
This role combines technical expertise in SAP data connectivity and replication with hands-on skills in analytics and reporting. Day-to-day: Design, implement, and maintain data replication and data federation strategies in Datasphere using SAP tables and CDS views.Integrate SAP S/4HANA (RISE) and SAP ECC systems seamlessly with Datasphere. Develop and enhance SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reports, dashboards, and planning models to support business decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate them into scalable analytical solutions.
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across data flows and reporting environments. Leverage data science and analytical methods to extract insights and support business objectives. Monitor and optimize the performance of data replication and analytics processes.
Must-haves: Proven experience with SAP Business Data Cloud / Datasphere, including data replication and federation. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud) and SAP ECC connectivity to SAP Datasphere. Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud for planning and analytics use cases.
Experience working with SAP Tables and CDS views for data modelling. Solid understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and compliance standards. Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate insights to stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
Plusses: Prior experience working as a data scientist or analyst in a SAP-centric environment. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and predictive analytics. Connect Microsoft Power BI to SAP Datasphere for PowerBI reporting purpose.
