About the role
The IT Enterprise Architect - Tool Specialist will be responsible for working with enterprise architects to gather, validate and use data and information to develop and deliver DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) 2.0 viewpoints in Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM)/MagicDraw and ARIS architecture modeling tools.

The customer envisions model and data migration from ARIS to Cameo which will require moving data and models between the tools, setting up Cameo and validating the transitioned information. The Enterprise Architect – Tool Specialist role develops integration roadmaps, standards, and best practices, leads in designing and moving architecture information, and captures and models information gathered by the architecture team within the CSM/MagicDraw architecture development environment.

They serve as a key business partner for MyNavy HR defense business systems (DBS) critical daily business operations. Reporting to the Lead Enterprise Architect, this role will apply DODAF expertise to oversee and enable conformance and completeness of enterprise and segment architecture content.

This content includes but is not limited to strategic roadmaps, capability, operational, data and information, systems, and services views, architecture analysis findings, and fit-for-purpose architecture artifacts.

This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Arlington, VA offices. You Will
  • Build visual diagrams documenting applications, integrations, and business domains.
  • Transition data and models from ARIS to Cameo which will require moving between the tools, setting up Cameo and validating the transitioned information.
  • Develop and maintain architecture development standards aligned with industry best practices.
  • Meet with architecture teammates and stakeholders to gather and model process, business and system/service information.
  • Work with development teams to provide guidance on solution architecture, and performance
  • Evaluate internal functions, IT processes and suggest improvements
  • Create business operational /architecture and system models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
  • Utilize systems engineering, architecture and IT models.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Cameo/MagicDraw Software
  • 2+ years of experience in ARIS
  • Experience producing DODAF views i.e. OV-1, SV-1, and SV-6
  • Highly organized, able to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Experience migrating data and models from ARIS to Cameo
  • Experience with Navy IT Architecture or Prior Navy experience
  • Experience designing integration models
  • Experience in event driven architecture
