Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to join our real estate development business, specializing in affordable housing projects in Washington, DC. Based in our downtown office, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, financing, and implementation of a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from financing consulting to the development and management of multi-family deals. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

 •  Independently lead and oversee all aspects of planning, financing, and implementation for multiple affordable housing developments in the Washington, DC area.
 •  Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
 •  Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies, lenders, and community partners, to navigate land transactions, secure financing, and facilitate successful project execution.
 •  Utilize your expertise in real estate development to identify and assess new opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

The Successful Applicant

 •  Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
 •  Proven experience in real estate development, with a focus on acquiring and closing land transactions.
 •  Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and navigate complex regulatory environments.
 •  Ability to work in office, in Downtown Washington, DC.

What's on Offer
 •  Base salary of $ 175,000 to $ 180,000
 •  Performance related bonus scheme
