Description
American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and ARDMS certification for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in Bangor, ME.
Details- Work setting includes the primary hospital campus with possible rotation to an Outpatient Imaging Center as needed
- Level II Trauma Center serving approximately two-thirds of the state, with the nearest competing trauma center over 2 hours away
- Certified Stroke Center within a 411-bed acute care hospital
- Adult patient population required; pediatric experience preferred
- EMR: Cerner
- 40 hours per week on a variable schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Call rotation required; details discussed during manager interview
- May float between the main campus and the Outpatient Imaging Center
- Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience
- Current BLS certification
- ARDMS certification required — AB or OB registry required; both preferred
- Adult sonography experience required; pediatric experience preferred
- ME state license or compact license required if applicable
- Full SSN required for consideration
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- 2 references within the past year required for consideration, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge Nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
- First-time travelers are considered with at least 2 years of employment experience
- Supported by a Lead Tech and physician support on the unit
- Orientation and scheduling specifics are discussed during the manager interview
- All RTO requests require manager approval and must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Flu vaccination is required for clearance to start
- Medical exemptions only are accepted for the flu vaccine requirement and are subject to facility approval committee review; a minimum of 2 weeks must be allotted for the review process
- Scrubs may be any solid professional color; facility-provided scrubs available if needed
