Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 – 16:30)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The RN will be responsible for providing immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain and recovery progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and assess their condition
• Manage airway, breathing, and circulation post-procedure
• Administer medications and manage pain effectively
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Key Details:

• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (PACU or critical care preferred)
• Schedule: 5x8 Day shifts
• Weekend Requirement: As per facility needs
• On-Call Requirement: As per facility policy
• Floating: May be required within scope

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN License (state-specific requirement)
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification (commonly required for PACU roles)
• Strong post-anesthesia or critical care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• PALS Certification (if facility treats pediatric patients)
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR systems like Epic)
