Shipping Clerk
Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime & weekends required)
Pay Rate: $22.00/hourPosition Type: Temp-to-Perm
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Newark facility on 1st shift. This role is responsible for coordinating outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and on time.If you enjoy keeping things moving and organized, this role puts you right at the heartbeat of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and labels
- Verify accuracy of orders, quantities, and shipment details before dispatch
- Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Schedule carriers and track outgoing shipments
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and records in internal systems
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and compliance
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status
- Assist with inventory checks and general warehouse support as needed
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with shipping systems, RF scanners, or ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, tracking systems)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
