Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Missouri Physical Therapy license is required to start the assignment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with comprehensive patient evaluation, development of discharge-focused treatment plans, and medical record documentation including goal writing and discharge summaries.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and mobility techniques, durable medical equipment trialing, and home exercise program instruction.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers and coordinate equipment ordering and patient/family training.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete state-mandated continuing education requirements.
- Comfort supervising students and providing clinical education is preferred.
