- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Experience caring for critically ill and ICU-level patients in the ED
- Strong emergency response and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Active New York RN License
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- Emergency patient assessment and triage
- Critical care interventions
- Medication administration
- Infection control procedures
- Management of medical/surgical emergencies
- Patient and family education
- Care planning and reassessment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Ability to identify and manage:
- Acute symptoms
- Disease processes
- Emergency situations
- Ability to collaborate with:
- Physicians
- Social workers
- Case managers
- Therapists
- Multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to advocate for patients and communicate effectively
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, talking, and hearing for extended periods
- Ability to handle repetitive motions in a clinical environment
- Day Shift | 3x11.5
- Possible weekends required
- Must be comfortable working with ICU patients in the ED setting
