Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility and a GA or compact RN license.
Details- Float pool position covering all critical care floors, the ED, ED hold areas, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU as needed
- High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment with complex, high-volume trauma cases
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling is generally not approved — flexible scheduling is expected
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
- Epic EMR in use
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
- Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
- Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
- Provide critical care nursing across multiple units as part of a float pool, including ICU floors, ED, ED holds, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU
- When assigned to the ED, patient assignments will be limited in scope
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Minimal time off (RTO) requests will be accommodated during the contract
