Kleinfelder is seeking qualified, responsible candidates for the position of Construction Materials and Geotechnical Testing Laboratory Technician to perform inspection duties on a large scale/multiyear project in the vicinity of the Indianapolis, IN metropolitan area.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex testing for construction materials and geotechnical testing in the field laboratory, in order to verify conformance to standards and specifications

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Performing concrete cylinder compression testing
  • Following proper procedures and standards
  • Performing daily routine testing of construction materials and geotechnical samples
  • Performing accurate computations
  • Maintaining cordial relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.

Consideration for this position requires the following certification(s) and/or experience:

  • 1-3 years of construction materials laboratory testing experience.
  • Preparation of daily reports and data sheets. May be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Certifications (or ability to obtain) include:

  • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician - Grade I
  • ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
  • ACI Lab Testing Technician
  • INDOT Certification Soils, Aggregates, and/or Asphalt
