Job Title: Commercial Operations SpecialistLocation: Hybrid in Brooklyn Park, MN (3 days in office 2 days remote)
Salary: $55,000-$65,000
The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for independently reviewing contract agreements, related documents, and financial worksheets, and assisting the Commercial Operations team to meet Kurita America’s business requirements. This includes maintaining and supporting customer contract billing systems as well as financial support for customer profitability analysis and reporting.This role also includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as data entry, running and distributing reports, document requests and follow-up, tracking and reporting changes, maintaining procedural documents, and data collection and analysis. This role partners closely with internal teams including field sales, customer experience, and accounting to translate commercial terms into accurate system setup, monitor and enhance account profitability, investigate non-conformances and provide root cause analysis, deliver timely reporting and insights, and identify opportunities and drive change
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain pricing, billing parameters, and commercial terms in business systems in accordance with established policy and approval workflows.
- Evaluate and verify contract documentation to ensure accurate entry into a live data management system.
- Prepare, run, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports to support commercial performance, customer profitability, and key operational KPIs.
- Perform data collection and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate insights to stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve billing and pricing discrepancies; document root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process and system enhancements that improve cycle time, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Properly maintain customer files for easy access and retrieval.
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high expectation environment.

Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and think critically
- Minimum 2-4 years experience with Commercial Operations (or similar) systems and processes
- Related Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting preferred
- Ability to produce ad-hoc reporting and support as needed
- Excellent communication skills & attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively
- High Level of computer literacy, especially MS Office365, Power BI, Jira, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) & Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps & Power Automate a plus.
- Experience with entering/extracting financial data from ERP systems
