We operate on a biweekly schedule, staying onboard for your two weeks tour.

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated marine engineer to join our team. The engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems aboard our tugboats. We operate on a biweekly schedule, staying onboard for your two weeks tour.
This role is vital in ensuring that our fleet operates at peak performance, providing safe and reliable towing services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of tugboat machinery, engines, and propulsion systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly.
- Ensure all systems comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure seamless operations.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and critical system failures with speed and efficiency.
- Reporting any equipment failures or defects to the marine and technical superintendents.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and materials, as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Tug Engineer is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in marine engineering (e.g., STCW, Marine Engineer Class 2 or higher)
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental standards.
- Flexibility to work on various shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
