The Yard Associate is responsible for supporting the accurate preparation, handling, and delivery of materials to customers and job sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently, safely, and with a high level of customer service.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do::
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials for delivery based on work orders or customer requests
- Load, unload, and transport materials safely using appropriate equipment
- Verify order accuracy, including quantities and product condition, prior to delivery
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory and staging areas
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Deliver materials to job sites or customer locations as required
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Complete basic documentation related to deliveries, inventory, and order tracking
- Perform additional duties as needed

- Experience in warehouse, delivery, or material handling roles
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment
- Familiarity with building materials or industrial products
- Valid driver’s license (if driving is required)
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Ability to perform work in warehouse, yard, and/or outdoor environments
- Comfortability with exposure to varying weather conditions and equipment operation
- Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, or travel between locations if required
