Aircraft Assembly Technician
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $36/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, and engineering changes to assemble products to quality standards
- Complete required data transactions to support assembly progression
- Set up and perform manual and automated assembly operations, including portable machine functions
- Perform rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing, and inspections during and after assembly
- Obtain and move parts, materials, tools, and assemblies as needed
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify work
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving issues related to parts, tools, procedures, or sequencing
- Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) duties
- Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment and complete required transactions
- Support production flow by training, coaching, and assisting other employees
- Document discrepancies in accordance with established procedures
- Train to become MVP qualified
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership (training and certification provided as required)
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in structural assembly or installation
- Experience with drilling, sealing, fastener installation, countersinking, varnishing, painting, and sealing
- Experience in assembly, sub-assembly, and structural installation
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
