Join as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist working in a skilled nursing facility in Tallahassee, FL. Use clinical skills to evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a medically complex, geriatric population. Provide skilled assessments, individualized treatment plans, and documentation that supports interdisciplinary care and successful patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active Florida SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care settings preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in dysphagia evaluation and management, including modified barium swallow or flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation in a skilled nursing setting.
- Experience treating geriatric populations and common neurological diagnoses such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease.
- Shift hours: 08:30 - 16:30.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts per week.
- Position located in Tallahassee, FL at a skilled nursing facility; candidate may be expected to coordinate with facility interdisciplinary teams.
