Location: Binghamton, NY

Shift Details:

• Mid Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Schedule Options:
• 5x8-Hour shifts
• OR combination of 2x12-Hour + 2x8-Hour shifts

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and communication skills and be comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Conduct and document nursing assessments
• Maintain accurate shift, weekly, and monthly patient notes
• Support therapeutic milieu and patient engagement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including Mental Health Therapy Aides
• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned
• Ensure adherence to safety, clinical, and behavioral health protocols

Patient Care Environment:

• Behavioral health unit with collaborative team-based care
• Nurses may be responsible for medication administration for up to 25 patients
• Focus on maintaining a structured and therapeutic environment

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
• Prior psychiatric / behavioral health experience required
• Strong documentation and assessment skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based care model
