- Sterling Heights, MI. We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a Software Test Engineer to work a contract position in Sterling Heights, MI.
- month long contract position and you must be a US Citizen to apply.
Required: US Citizenship and Residency, W2 hourly Contract Only, No 1099, No third parties, no C2C.
No exceptions (Sorry) Pay: $45 to $51.50/hr.
D.O.E. SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEERWe are looking for engineers with experience and a passion for working in an Advanced Technology Software Integration and Testing Lab.The Software Innovation Lab Engineer will design, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory integration and test environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechatronic integration skills, hands-on experience maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and simulation tools, and the ability to communicate effectively while working on-site and with remote teams.
SKILLS REQUIRED- Computer networking fundamentals (VLANs, switch configuration)
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows terminals, shell scripting, and PowerShell
- Ability to interpret and analyze system logs (Windows Event Viewer, syslog, dmesg)
- Circuit debugging using multimeters SKILLS PREFERRED
- Familiarity with NI TestStand for test sequence development and execution
- Experience with network protocol analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Basic understanding of C/C++ for reading/modifying test scripts or firmware EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Solid background administering Linux and Windows operating systems in lab environments
