Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist – Breast Imaging for a contract opportunity at the Breast Cancer Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality breast ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform breast ultrasound examinations according to department protocols
- Verify patient identity and physician orders before procedures
- Prepare and educate patients regarding ultrasound exams
- Evaluate images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation
- Operate ultrasound equipment and imaging systems effectively
- Follow infection control and sterile technique standards
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure patient comfort during exams
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare staff
- Support quality assurance and reporting procedures
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required
- Must have experience performing breast ultrasounds
- ARDMS Certification required
- RDMS (BR) – Breast Specialty Certification REQUIRED
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
