Job Details- Position Type: Travel Nurse – Labor & Delivery RN
- Location: Minneapolis, MN (St. Louis Park neighborhood, Zip: 55426) — Twin Cities area
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Perinatal/Obstetrics Nursing
- Shift: 8-hour Night Shifts
- Hours per Week: 40
- Duration: 8 weeks (Start: 5/9/2026 – End: 7/4/2026)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 – $2,400 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Floating: Must be willing to float within L&D
- Weekend/Holiday: Coverage as needed
- On-Call: None
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in perinatal or obstetrics nursing
- Active Minnesota RN license required
- BLS (AHA only)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) basic and intermediate certification
- Willingness to float within L&D to support unit needs
- Required application materials: resume, active license/certifications, skills checklist, and prescreening questionnaire
- No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
- Note: New graduates are not accepted for this travel nurse assignment
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status using EFM and clinical judgment throughout labor and delivery
- Perform neonatal and maternal assessments, including immediate newborn care and stabilization as needed
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide interventions as prescribed
- Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record for maternal and newborn care
- Float within the L&D unit to support staffing needs and ensure continuity of care
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required
