Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a WI or Compact license and 2 years of OR experience with heavy robotics and orthopedic case exposure.
Details- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment on day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 0700-1530
- High volume of robotics and orthopedic/sports medicine cases
- Additional case exposure includes urology, gynecology, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, spine, and neurosurgery
- Utilizes Epic charting system
- Call requirements of 2-3 days per week and every 4th-5th weekend
- Rotating on-call structure with 2 call teams during the week and 1 call team covering 24-hour weekend shifts
- Call must be covered if RTO falls on a scheduled call day
- Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification must be active and in hand
- NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other robotic surgery platforms
- Experience with cell saver, electrosurgical units, and Hana Table preferred
- Latex allergy accommodations are not available at this facility
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, robotic, gynecologic, urologic, and neurosurgical procedures
- Assist with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
- Adhere to universal protocol (time out) procedures and specimen handling/labeling standards
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel pairs accepted
- Previously separated travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year break in assignment
- Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
- Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-4 hours in length
