Description

The Contract Sales & Marketing Analyst will support commercial decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management through analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. This role will collaborate with the EVP of Sales & Marketing and the broader commercial team, delivering recurring reporting and high-priority ad hoc analysis to inform strategy and performance across the portfolio.

This position focuses on commercial analytics, including transient and group performance, pacing, STR analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, bonus file support, and customer/guest insight reporting.

The primary point of contact will be the Strategy & Analytics Manager and collaborate closely with Operations, field leaders, and external vendors to support commercial initiatives and performance optimization.

Scope of Work/ Deliverables
  • Deliver recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management
  • Provide analytical insight to the EVP of Sales & Marketing and commercial leaders
  • Prepare and maintain reports including STR analysis, pacing reports, performance summaries, and dashboards
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for commercial functions
  • Assist with bonus file preparation and performance tracking
  • Analyze transient and group business trends and provide actionable insights
  • Monitor and report on customer experience metrics, including guest reviews and feedback trends
  • Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities through data analysis, including sentiment trends
  • Translate data into clear recommendations and business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and field teams to improve visibility into performance drivers
  • Gather and validate data from multiple systems, working with internal teams and external vendors
  • Maintain high accuracy and responsiveness across recurring deliverables and ad hoc requests
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of analytical tools and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, ProfitSword, Amaze, Revinate, STR)
  • Participate in cross-functional support and analytical initiatives as needed
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Hospitality, Economics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in analytics, reporting, commercial analysis, or a related field
  • Experience working with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, or other commercial functions
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, property management, or a related industry (preferred)
  • Multi-property reporting or analytical experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with tools such as ProfitSword, STR, Amaze, Revinate, and similar hospitality/commercial reporting systems (preferred)
Skills, Tools & Competencies
  • Strong Excel skills, including building and maintaining analytical files, reporting tools, and models
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools, including Power BI (dashboards, reports, and data models)
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into meaningful business insights
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and KPI analysis
  • Exposure to customer review analytics, guest feedback reporting, or sentiment analysis (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking, curiosity, initiative, and follow-through
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance recurring deadlines with ad hoc requests
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and ambiguous problem sets
Contract Details
  • Employment Type: 1099 independent contractor role and does not include employee benefits
  • Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience
