POSITION Substitute Teacher
LOCATION Barberton, OH 44203
Maintains a neat and orderly classroom.
Ensures that students are never left unattended in the classroom.
Keeps students safe and engaged.
Monitors student progress and assists where needed by keeping proximity.
Maintains existing classroom management and discipline procedures.
Understands building and classroom policy and procedures.
Provides written feedback for the classroom teacher.
A minimum of a High School Degree or GED is required.
Clean criminal background.
Three (3) positive professional references.
Ohio Department of Education Substitute Teacher License ($25), or higher license.
Part time, on-call
Days 1-5 Same Assignment: $120/day
Days 6+ Same Assignment: $125/day
Retired Barberton Teachers: $150/day

PAY RATE $120.00 Per Day ($150.00 Per Day for Retirees) + Bonus Program (see below)

Responsibilities
Follows lesson plans.Maintains a neat and orderly classroom.
Ensures that students are never left unattended in the classroom.
Keeps students safe and engaged.
Monitors student progress and assists where needed by keeping proximity.
Maintains existing classroom management and discipline procedures.
Understands building and classroom policy and procedures.
Provides written feedback for the classroom teacher.
Maintains accurate attendance records.
RequirementsA minimum of a High School Degree or GED is required.
Clean criminal background.
Three (3) positive professional references.
Experience working with school aged children.
After Hire (Contingent)Ohio Department of Education Substitute Teacher License ($25), or higher license.
FBI & BCI Background checks dated within 12 months (Cost varies per agency).
BONUS PROGRAM:Bonus after each 10 days of Accumulated Service: $60.00/day
