Job Description
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, brokers, architects, and engineers.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with company strengths.
  • Support preconstruction and estimating teams during pursuits and interviews.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market activity and upcoming developments.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and operations to ensure warm handoffs from pursuit to execution.
  • Help drive sustainable, long‑term growth rather than one‑off wins.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager - Commercial Construction should have:

  • Background in the general contracting world strongly preferred.
  • Subcontractor BD professionals with strong GC relationships will also be considered.
  • Local or regional ties to the Greenville / Upstate SC market preferred.
  • Proven ability to build trust‑based, long‑term client relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Not a fit for candidates seeking high‑pressure, transactional sales roles.
