Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring 1+ year of echocardiography experience and active ARDMS or CCI certification.
Details- Non-Invasive Cardiology unit in a regional hospital setting
- Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Shared on-call obligations covering nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time requirement
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography
- Active ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
- BLS certification through AHA required and must not expire prior to start date
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
- Reviews patient history and selects appropriate imaging protocols; explains procedures and positions patients accordingly
- Evaluates completed studies for quality and completeness, and coordinates image preparation and documentation for physicians
- Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and maintains supplies and work environment
- Participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow
- Transports patients as needed
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
