Job Description

Construction Project Manager - New London, CT
  • Maintain full responsibility for project cost, schedule, and performance in alignment with company standards and goals.
  • Develop project plans, sequencing, and schedules in collaboration with field personnel.
  • Prepare and issue project documentation including progress reports, schedule updates, and budget forecasts.
  • Lead regular project meetings and serve as the primary liaison between the project team and client.
  • Monitor manpower, progress, and percent complete, making adjustments to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Manage scope changes, identify impacts, and negotiate cost and schedule adjustments with the client.
  • Coordinate closely with estimating during preconstruction, including subcontractor pricing and schedule development.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and change‑order pricing; ensure all approvals are obtained prior to execution.
  • Oversee procurement, staffing plans, and the development of Project Engineers and Project Assistants.
  • Ensure project safety compliance through pre‑installation planning, subcontractor coordination, and site safety inspections.
  • Manage invoicing to ensure timely and accurate billing in accordance with owner contracts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - CT should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-7+ years of experience as a Project Manager working for a general contractor.
  • Proven experience delivering ground‑up commercial or healthcare construction projects valued at $5M+.
  • Strong background in preconstruction, estimating coordination, and full project lifecycle management.
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines including project management, construction management, and client presentations.
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and work additional hours as needed to meet project goals.
