Entry Level Mechanical Test Technician (3rd Shift)

Overview:
Join us as a Mechanical Testing Technician and see how your variety of routine and non-routine testing make a difference and how critical it is to helping us deliver on our purpose and achieve our goals. In this position you will perform tests and report testing evaluations.
Work is to be performed in accordance with established QA procedures.

Salary: $20-$25/hr
3rd shift - $2 shift diff
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Mechanical Lab
• Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly
• Performs RTT/ETT tests, Charpy impacts, Fracture Toughness, Hardness, Stress/Creep Rupture, Full size Fastener testing, Pressure testing
• Schedules/Performs internal calibration/maintenance of equipment
• Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of mechanical testing area
• Interacts periodically with customers

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• HS diploma/GED or Tech school certificate preferred
• Experience in a testing related field preferred
• Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
• Basic understanding of testing concepts
NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
