Your Responsibilities as an Lead Shop Technician
As a Lead Shop Technician, you will:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across a variety of vehicles
- Replace worn or damaged components such as belts, hoses, filters, and suspension parts
- Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance
- Maintain accurate and organized service and repair documentation
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-organized
- Work collaboratively with team members to minimize downtime and keep the fleet operating efficiently
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technician (fleet experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, repair procedures, and maintenance best practices
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and modern repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on safety and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Maryland driver’s license required
- Dependable, positive, and motivated work ethic
