Stepdown Registered Nurse (Stepdown RN) / Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) - 26-04018

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Shift Details:

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Day Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
• Night Shift: 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM
• Rotating Day/Night shifts (based on facility needs)

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (Stepdown RN) / Progressive Care Unit RN (PCU RN) to join a high-acuity float pool team. This role involves caring for patients requiring intermediate-level care and may include floating to multiple units with similar patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown/progressive care patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments
• Perform detailed patient assessments and care planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to assigned units as needed while maintaining quality care standards
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel
• Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple units and patient populations

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact License – Required
• BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
• ACLS – Required
• NIHSS – Required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in PCU / Progressive Care settings
