Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and overhaul complex production and packaging machinery (granulation, tablet compression, coating, encapsulation, and inhaler/DPI systems). Resolve mechanical issues quickly during production runs to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute routine PMs on process machinery and core utility equipment (boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC, purified water systems, and dust collectors). Complete machine setups and line changeovers between batch runs.
- cGMP Compliance & Logging: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Accurately record all repairs, calibrations, and maintenance tasks in logbooks and CMMS tracking systems.
- Facility Upkeep & Safety: Maintain cleanroom standards, monitor environmental controls (humidity and room pressure), and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Experience: 2–5+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, food manufacturing, or cGMP-regulated facility.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled with hand/power tools, mechanical setups, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting using multimeters.
- Schematics & Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and SOP manuals.
- Physical Capabilities: Able to lift 35–50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and wear required PPE (including cleanroom suits and respiratory protection when necessary).
