Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Duties
Prepare/review complex engineering calculations
Review/mark-up complex drawings
Prepare/review technical reports
Prepare/review technical specifications
Understand constructability of design drawings
Perform plan in hand checks of project documents
Perform other items as directed by project managers and senior management
Good written and verbal communication as it relates to the field and projects
Qualifications
Typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
PE licensure required.
