Packaging Buyer
This is a high-impact position responsible for ensuring the continuous, cost-effective supply of all primary and secondary packaging components that bring our innovative beauty products to market. You will be crucial in managing global supplier relationships, driving cost savings, and maintaining operational excellence across our procurement function.
What You Bring
- Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within packaging, cosmetics, personal care, or a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise: Knowledge of diverse packaging materials (glass, plastic, metal, paperboard). Experience in global sourcing (Asia/Europe) and managing vendor relationships.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Packaging Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Proven track record in strong negotiation, supplier management, and data analysis (proficiency in Excel required). Excellent cross-functional collaboration and a problem-solving mindset to manage supply disruptions.
- Salary: Up to $75K
- Schedule: Full-time, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Work Model: This role begins with a 90-day in-office probationary period. Following this period, enjoy flexibility with the option to work from home one to two days per week.

Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Manage the end-to-end procurement of primary packaging (bottles, jars, tubes, closures, pumps) and secondary packaging (folding cartons, labels, corrugate, inserts).
- Supplier Management & Negotiation: Develop and manage a diverse domestic and international supplier base, leading commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and service agreements. Drive annual cost savings initiatives across packaging categories and conduct ongoing supplier performance evaluations.
- Supply Assurance: Convert MRP requirements into precise purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and proactively resolve complex supply issues.
- Inventory & Planning: Partner with Planning teams to optimize safety stock levels and inventory strategies while balancing service levels with working capital targets. Anticipate and mitigate critical supply risks.
- Process Excellence: Maintain accurate item master data, pricing, and supplier information in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AS400), ensuring compliance with procurement policies and improving overall workflow visibility.
