Job Description

The Superintendent - Civil Sitework - Charlottesville, VA will:

Lead all sitework, earthwork, utilities, hardscape, and landscape scopes from start to finish
Manage site logistics, sequencing, and coordination with civil engineers and subcontractors
Oversee schedule adherence, quality control, and safety compliance during early project phases
Coordinate closely with project management, superintendents, and development teams
Support procurement, budgeting, and cost control related to exterior construction packages
Drive issue resolution related to soils, grading, utilities, and municipal coordination
Ensure smooth transition from sitework into vertical construction activities

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Civil Sitework - Charlottesville, VA will have:

Proven experience managing complex sitework and civil construction on large projects
Background in multifamily, mixed‑use, or large wood‑frame construction preferred
Strong understanding of grading, utilities, stormwater, hardscape, and landscape scopes
Ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate across multiple project stakeholders
Willingness to be on‑site in Charlottesville, VA with an immediate or near‑term start
