Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position in South Florida, requiring a minimum of two years of recent ICU experience, prior travel experience, and an active FL or Compact RN license.
Details- ICU position in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Float requirement as needed
- Hurricane emergency staffing sign-up is required
- Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required at time of consideration: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA or ARC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent, full-time ICU experience required; experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience in SICU, MICU, or Trauma is preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) combined with 2 years of recent consecutive acute care experience
- Must be able to pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment (pass/fail)
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply
- Proof of vaccination status is required; declinations are not accepted
- Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment prior to starting; if 100% is not scored on lethal rhythms, a retake (Dysrhythmia Exam B) must be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% on lethal rhythms, and 83% on all other sections
- A study guide and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation materials
