The Systems Engineer will apply broad engineering expertise to plan, design, integrate, test, and sustain secure, resilient communications and information systems. This role tackles novel, complex engineering problems; conducts trade studies and cost/schedule/performance/security analyses; supports digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); and produces technical documentation and executive-level briefings.
The engineer will help evaluate emerging technologies and architectures (including Modular Open Systems Architecture/Open Mission Systems concepts) to support modernization efforts, ensure end-to-end system integration, manage technical baselines, and provide risk management inputs aligned with Air Force processes.

The position also performs DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DoDI 8140) Information Systems Security Developer (631) and Systems Developer (632) tasks/KSAs.
