Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARDMS or CCI certification for a role requiring neonatal/pediatric experience.
Details- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, pediatric acute care, and pediatric outpatient settings
- Teaching hospital environment with ICU and ED coverage
- Float required among 5 hospitals and 6 outpatient sites within skillset
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) required
- No call requirements
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Epic charting system experience required
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
- ARDMS or CCI certification accepted
- RDCS certification required
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- License required if applicable
- Neonatal/pediatric experience required, NICU experience preferred
- Proficiency in Adult Echo, 2-D/3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, Routine studies, and TEE
- Treadmill Stress Echo experience preferred
- Experience with Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, and Simpson's Rule calculations preferred
- Fetal Echocardiography experience preferred, including conditions such as Aortic Stenosis, AV Septal Defect, Complete Heart Block, CHF, Ebstein's Anomaly, Hypoplastic Left/Right Heart Syndrome, PAC, Tetralogy of Fallot, TGA, Two-Chambered Heart, and VSD
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and perform procedures on ICU/ED patients
- Experience with GE equipment and PACS system
- Management or lead experience preferred
- Perform diagnostic echocardiogram procedures across adult and pediatric populations in acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings
- Maternal Fetal Medicine experience is a plus
- Must follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- RTO must be submitted with the profile; requests after submission will not be accepted
- No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
- Orientation modules vary by specialty and are completed during orientation
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
