Physicians do 99% supervision.
Self performing cases is uncommon.
Physicians are expected to be present for Induction and Emergence, participate in post op-care, participate in pre-op evaluation of patient.

This is a hands on practice.
Types of Cases: Level II Trauma, Ortho, Spine, Vascular, limited Neuro, Endo, EP Lab,***NO OB***NO TRANSPLANTS*** Cardiac Case Load:
- With TAVRs, mitral clips, CABG, etc, 10
EP, watchman = 80/month.
Shifts: 5x10s per week, if they take weekday in-house call, the following day is post call.
Plus a 24- hour regular weekend shift, Saturday 7am
- Sunday 7am Trauma Call: In-house call shift starts at 3pm and runs to 7am.
The post call day is off if you wish, some prefer to work.
EMR: Medaxion (for anesthesia charting) Meditech for orders.
