Service Technician
Mobile Box is seeking a Service Technician to support our Orlando branch. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, servicing, and preparing company equipment and field/inventory units to ensure they are safe, operational, clean, and rent-ready.
The Service Technician will support both customer-site service needs and branch/yard operations. This includes repairs, installations, equipment setup, inspections, preventive maintenance, general service work, and documentation of completed repairs.
This role requires welding experience, electrical experience, forklift certification, and a valid driver’s license. The position includes overtime eligibility, local travel, some overnight travel, company-provided vehicle, company credit card, company-provided tools, and minimal on-call expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs, inspections, installations, and evaluations on customer-site units and equipment.
- Travel locally to customer locations to troubleshoot and complete service work.
- Complete occasional overnight travel based on customer and business needs.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on company equipment and units.
- Perform welding-related repairs and minor fabrication work as needed.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair work.
- Open and repair locks, doors, pumps, hoses, and related components.
- Assist with equipment setup, disassembly, loading, unloading, and movement.
- Pressure wash, clean, sweep, hose out, label, and prepare units to ensure they are rent-ready.
- Support yard operations by keeping inventory clean, repaired, organized, and serviceable.
- Assist with pump repair, tanker cleaning, berm repair, spray painting, and related service tasks.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with equipment tracking and documentation.
- Document completed work and communicate repair status to the appropriate manager or team member.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment in accordance with certification and company policy.
- Use company-provided vehicle, credit card, and tools responsibly and in accordance with company policy.
- Participate in minimal on-call coverage as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, concerns, or violations promptly.
- Participate in safety meetings and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift experience.
- Welding experience.
- Basic electrical experience.
- Experience in service, maintenance, equipment repair, general labor, yard operations, or a similar hands-on role.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, power tools, and service equipment.
- Ability to follow schedules, instructions, safety procedures, and work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone, text, and email.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to participate in minimal on-call coverage as needed.
- Dependable attendance and ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Experience pressure washing, spray painting, loading equipment on trailers, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, construction, facilities maintenance, or similar field service environments.
- Experience documenting service work, repairs, and inventory updates.
- Role is based out of the Orlando branch.
- Local travel to customer sites is required.
- Some overnight travel may be required.

- Overtime may be required based on workload and business needs.
- Ability to work in a yard, shop, and customer-site environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, push, pull, and perform hands-on work for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow safety standards at all times.
- Ability to lift, move, load, unload, clean, repair, and service equipment as required.
